Training on Human rights & Legal Support for CBO

BITA is implementing human rights programmes at grass root level through its cultural approach emphasizing the rights of underprivileged marginalized people especially women, children and minority people aiming at fostering social harmony with respect of human rights through cultural initiatives for promoting the trend of development in the society.In relation with this a 3 day long training on Basic Human Rights Training for grass root level was held on Shapla community center to provide information on Human rights & Legal Support for the CBO members.Executive members along with the general members were the participants in that training. The 3 day long training comprises some major issues regarding the capacity development of Community-based Organizations. The issues were Rights & Human Rights, Local Judicial System, Arbitration & its application System, Marriage System-From ethnic point of view, Human Rights Committee & its Formation procedure, Action plan development for Community-based Organizations. The main aspiration is to capacitate the Community-based Organizations (CBO) and the Hill Farmers CBO Association all the way through Participatory Learning Approach that would help ensure woman Rights of the Ethnic Communities. After the training CBO based Human rights committee were formed in each CBO.
